Tennessee Waltz by Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart, is a classic country favorite, originally made famous by Patti Page, but later by various artists including Elvis Presley. It has also been used in film and TV programs — a well-known melody and popular with all ages. This arrangement is for string quartet.
The piece starts with a cello introduction, which is followed by a classic arrangement of the melody featuring the first violin. For the second verse, the second violin takes the melody, and the violin plays an obligato line, soaring above. The viola then takes the refrain, with the cello finishing the piece as it began. Score, set of parts 15 pages.
