Carrickfergus – (Do bhi bean uasal – There Was a Noblewoman)

Carrickfergus is a 19th Century Irish Ballad, arranged here for string quartet. The melody has been recorded by dozens of artists and has been used in film and television. It was also played at the funeral of John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1999.
