In this romantic string quartet arrangement of Mia & Sebastian’s Theme from the movie La La Land, the four parts each play an important role in creating a floating texture. The second violin begins the introduction with the melody in a lower registered, echoed by the first violin an octave higher. The four parts join together to create a rich sound for the first rendition of the piece. Following a short transition, the cello takes the melody, with the viola providing contrast and the upper strings filling in harmony.
