Canon in D – Pachelbel (Abbreviated Wedding Version)

The famous Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel, arranged here for string trio in a much shorter, wedding friendly length.

While the “regular” version of the piece is over six minutes long, this abbreviated version is only about two minutes in length — with just the “good parts” as one bride remarked. Your cellist will also have a lot more fun than usual, since the cello part is much, much more than just eight notes (repeated forever).

As with all of our trio arrangements, the middle part is included in both treble and alto clef, giving you the flexibility of playing it with either two violins and cello, or violin, viola and cello. Score, set of parts 11 pages Watch it on You Tube – HERE!
