Black Velvet is a song written by Canadian songwriters Christopher Ward and David Tyson, recorded by Canadian singer songwriter Alannah Myles. It contains blues verses with a rock chorus, and sounds great arranged for string trio! The cello takes the moving bass line, while the melody and harmony is shared by the upper strings. This arrangement can either be played by a violin, viola and cello, or two violins and cello. The middle part is included in both treble and alto clef, giving you great performance flexibility.
