The Sound of Silence, originally “The Sounds of Silence“, is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. This arrangement is for string trio. The gentle guitar part is played initially by the middle part, with the cello and violin in unison. As the song develops, the melody changes between the three instruments. This string trio arrangement can be played by violin, viola and cello as well as by two violins and cello.
