Brandenburg Concerto No 3 by Johann Sebastian Bach is typically played by 10 instruments (3 violins, 3 violas and 3 cellos and continuo). This is a full-length string trio arrangement that has been simplified to be played by only three strings – two violins and cello OR violin, viola and cello. The middle part is included in both treble and alto clef. The second movement is typically played as only two chords, with the first violinist given the opportunity of improving a short cadenza. In this arrangement, the second movement is provided as a haunting Adagio. Score, set of parts 55 pages. Watch it on You Tube – HERE!
